Such a classy replacement for American Apparrel.
ReplyDeleteA Waffle House will make the nerds on North Avenue feel cool like the kids in Athens
ReplyDelete"Such a classy replacement for American Apparrel."
ReplyDeleteBoo-effing-hoo. Using a credit card to buy designer clothes (and, for that matter, "designer" clothes) is pie-in-the-sky bubble economics. Waffle House is economic and social reality, and it's about damn time. It's a well run company that delivers value for the money and they are cleaning up.
Phase 2 of the correction: when the owners of those steel and glass monstrosities all over town finally realize they have no choice but to dynamite them. That's when we'll know economic recovery is definitely and irrevocably underway.
I assume these new Waffle Houses will be employing a lot of UGA grads.
ReplyDeleteWaffle House does accept Visa and MasterCard (but no checks).
ReplyDeleteI'd skim off the idiot credit card issuers who lend money to people without enough cash to buy a hot breakfast as well, genius.

ReplyDeleteCredit cards can be an enormous convenience as long as you use them responsibly and ALWAYS pay off your bills IN FULL every month.
Personally, I don't carry cash anymore, even for making a single 8-cent copy at Office Depot. If a place doesn't accept credit cards, I am out of there, forever!
