It probably will be a Mexican Restaurant.
ReplyDeleteJust in time for Friday afternoons in the fall...can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteGreat place, great location. Was terrible food and service, if they can fix that it will be a winner.
ReplyDeleteThe 57th closed December 2006 but will reopen Sept 2009. I spoke to the manager on Saturday Aug 29th www.the57threstaurant.com is the website with new phone number. They also have a facebook page as well.
ReplyDeleteI for one am looking forward to the experience again and am spreading to word about this reopening Enjoy!
Yes - the restaurant will re-open soon (Late Sept or Early Oct 09). I spoke with the manager, Sept 16th, and the place is totally refreshed to the original period decor of the WWII era. The GM will be the same person that ran the restaurant back in the 90's when the place was well known for great food and service, and with the support of new owners, they are realy excited about re-opening and returning to an exceptional dining experience for Atlanta.
