V-103 morning show co-host Frank Ski is getting into the club business. Opening on the backside of a new Selig Enterprises property at 3275 Peachtree Road, Color Lounge & Restaurant has been in the planning stages for months if not years and just recently passed the NPU-B (Neighborhood Planning Unit-Buckhead) for a second time. Occupying a strange space on the lower level of the rear of the shopping center that where both Orvis and Verizon Wireless relocated from elsewhere in Buckhead, the concept certainly will be an interesting addition to the mix in the immediate area. Repeat Atlanta!

Could it be that this supposedly insatiable 'market' for standing around with a drink in your hand is just the myopic view of developers operating in an environment of artificially cheap credit?

The only thing that location has going for it is the amount of parking that they have out back. Unless they have some SERIOUS PR people, that location will just turn out to be an expensive clubhouse for the owner.

ReplyDeleteDidn't they learn the lesson of the old Schlotsky's Deli just over the fence from this spot? Might it be a good location since Soulja Boy lives in the condo across the street?
