Luxury Retailers Fly To Hartsfield-Jackson

Luxury retailers, including Salvatore Ferragamo, Bulgari, Ermenegildo Zegna, Lacoste, Brooks Brothers, and Vera Bradley among others will be opening at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the coming months. Luxury stores have had great success in European and Asian markets where mall shopping is less frequent and there are fewer malls altogether. This will be a first for the American market. Other U.S. airports such as John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and San Francisco International Airport are also adding luxury stores to their airport retail offerings. Repeat Atlanta!
Betsey Johnson To Open At Perimeter Mall

Adding to what is becoming a growing list of luxe retailers, General Growth has signed Betsey Johnson for a store at Perimeter Mall. With the recent openings of GEOX and Stuart Weitzman, and the expansion of Coach, Perimeter is doing its best to offer a watered down version of Lenox. The opening and location are still unknown, but expect an opening by late August, early September. Repeat Atlanta!
Nike Women... Nike... Closed At Lenox

In what seemed like an overnight move, Nike Women, or Nike, as it had become known, has closed at Lenox Square. Located on the upper level, a few doors down from Apple, the store can be found boarded up. It seemed as though a new tenant had been signed. However, sources tell me that the store will reopen this October as a new Nike prototype store. One interesting thing about this new store will be that there will be no managers and employees, only "players" and "coaches". The former store seemed quite nice, though much of the same apparel could be found across the street at Niketown. In recent months the store had begun to include mens clothing in their offerings and had removed the "women" from the name and had preferred the name,"Nike". Repeat Atlanta!
Chick-fil-A Coming To Terminus!

For all those Chick-fil-A fans in Buckhead, that live or work just past Lenox and Phipps, but before Lindbergh and Piedmont Hospital, you will soon have a new location just for you. Located next door to Bricktops at Terminus, the new office tower at the corner of Piedmont and Peachtree roads, this new Chick-fil-A location looks small but will surely do great business. Its located on the Peachtree road side and faces The Container Store. I for one will be in there weekly getting my Chargrilled Chicken and Cookies & Cream milkshake fix. From what can be seen from the outside, I'd expect to see them open by early to mid August. Repeat Atlanta!
P.S. Don't forget about Cow Appreciation Day (July 11). Wear a full cow costume and recieve a free combo meal and partial cow attire gets you a free entree.

Steve & Barry's Filing For Bankruptcy?
It was just last week I reported that Steve & Barry's would be opening at The Gallery at Steve & Barrys is known for their uber cheap apparel and rapid growth, but wih that said, it seems they are now in financial trouble. Their celebrity endorsed / designed lines from Sarah Jessica Parker's line "Bitten," Amanda Bynes' line "Dear," Venus Williams' line "EleVen," and Stephon Marbury's line "Starbury," have been a hit but it seems not enough of a hit to stabilize the company. It is said they are in need of $30 Million in funding or may face immediate bankruptcy. The idea of puttting itself up for sale to the likes of Wal-Mart or going public for instance, have been mentioned as ways to avoid a Chapter 11 filing.
Stay tuned for further details! Repeat Atlanta!
